Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay)
(An ode to the “Greatest” boxer of all time)

He said, “I fly like a butterfly, I sting like a bee”
The greatest boxer of all time Muhammad Ali
He could dance around in circles and he had a lethal swing
When he hit those guys with his right their jaw would really sting

When they got into that ring with a date to rendezvous
Foreman, Liston, Frazier, and Henry Cooper too
He would tease them with his left and he would punch them with his right
Fans were screaming “Ali, Ali”, enthralled with the fight

Tyson tried to take him yes he tried like the rest
However, everybody knew Muhammad Ali was the best
Cassius Clay was his name back then when he came to fame
When you hit the canvas you were there ‘til the count of ten

He was an icon in the boxing ring all the fans were off their seat
He would proclaim to the crowds “I am the greatest, I can’t be beat”
As he was getting older and he didn’t have the speed
The inevitable would happen and he would face defeat

Norton, Berbick , Frazier, Larry homes and Leon Spinks
Were the only guys to beat him in the boxing rink
Ali even knew that it would eventually come
His energy would dwindle and he would have to succumb

He will always be remembered the greatest fighter who ever lived
Especially as a boxer he had so much to give
It was a sad day in Arizona on June third 2016
America lost their “Greatest” champ…… of the boxing ring.

Humboldt Broncos

Our thoughts and prayers will always be with you.

Humboldt Saskatchewan of the yellow and green
The colours of the Broncos it is their hockey team
Tragedy would strike heading for their next game
Hockey in this town would never be the same

It was a cold Friday evening as they're heading to play
Disaster struck their bus on that chilly April day
Sunday evening was the fixture for their next hockey game
Instead, a vigil was held, Humboldt.... would never be the same

The prayer vigil was telecast for all the world to see
All Canada mourns with you as we all shed our tears
Precious lives that were taken O'God they were so young
The joy that they brought and the trophies that they won

Friends and families trying to mend all the hearts that are broken
They just stare at one another not a word is even spoken
We know their names won't be forgotten their Spirit will still be around
We all love you over in Humboldt....a great Canadian town

Life has no remote

Is there a purpose why we exist?

Is there a purpose why we exist?

Where did life begin? Is there a purpose why we exist?
Was it from the dust of the ground?
Maybe an organism that wiggled around

Some say that God was the creator
Thus the Bible tells us so
Is this how we really started to grow?

A big bang in the cosmos maybe
Another galaxy perhaps, spat out by a surge of power
Creating man, trees, the mountains and the flowers

Were we a little organism, some sort of matter?
Did God carve us out of the dust with his finger?
So that for years to come, mankind would linger

All of us sitting on this terrestrial ball
Spinning in space as we surge around the sun
Gravity holding us on this planet, as we are spun

Such a tiny spec in amongst the galaxies
Rotating like a spinning top, rapidly turning
The momentum preventing us all from flying off, this earth orb

To the dust we will all return
Either way we all came from the ground
No-one knows for sure, no-one was around

When we all die does our spirit evaporate into the air?
Maybe it wanders through the galaxies into oblivion
On the other hand, does it eventually go to Heaven?

Is God really in Heaven watching over us each day?
As we all have needs and selfishly pray
Therefore, do we know where God came from, no-one will say

Goodnight, sleep tight

"Goodnight, sleep tight."

When you're tired at night, it's time to lay your body on the bed

It's time to go to sleep you have thoughts, swirling around your head

As your mind fades away you now fall, into a deep, deep sleep

You have dreams in your mind but you're not sure, what they really mean

Sometimes scary, a nightmare, they frighten you deep inside your soul

You are restless, start to sweat, heart pumping fast, you think you're in (Hell) Sheol

When you're sleeping at night, you're not aware of what's really going on

The world is moving around while your body lies in bed all alone

Not aware of your very own existence, not even knowing, you're lying on your bed

Your subconscious and your mind doesn't know, if you're alive or you are dead

Then the morning time arrives, you awake, your eyes open wide and you say

I now know that I'm alive, I can enjoy and I can live another day

Finally, the day is over, I go to bed and do it all again

However, will I wake up in the morning to enjoy, yes, to live another day

When I go to sleep at night, there may be no opportunity, to give, a big farewell wave

It may be the last time you close your eyes as, you're heading for the grave

Conniving women

"Conniving women"

I'm sure all  of you have been watching the news over the last few months.

All the sexual assault scandals from various women.

Mostly against superstars or politicians, producers and the like.

Anyone who had money, they were the ones who were targeted.

As soon as one woman came out of the closet, the barrage started.

At one point all the faces of about forty or fifty males were blazoned across the television screen.

These "allegations" had apparently taken place going as far back as the 1970's.

Some of the people (men) stepped down, not out of guilt, but out of embarrassment for themselves and their families.

As  one woman would come forward, the onslaught began.

It didn't take too long before other woman saw the financial advantages of revealing untruths.

It's funny how money can manipulate people into lying, and being deceitful as they see the money signs in their eyes.

We also learned on the news, that some of those "allegations" were fabricated.

Some women thought that this was a good way of making a few thousand bucks.

Especially if you had been alone with some male at one point in your life, and you both had a couple of drinks and then had sex.

You then found out the guy was married, "jerk, I'll get him back."

Then you "Scream, sexual assault"

Years later, something like this happens and you jump on the bandwagon. What's the worst thing that can happen, "okay, so I lied."

Why didn't all the women, from all of the large cities in North America come out and join in. I'm sure something like this must have happened to the poorer sector too??

You know why, because there was no money to sue for, the normal woman knows, that she enjoys having sex with whomever. It was just a one time fling.

However, if you have sex with someone who has money, well, that's a different thing, I could make a little cash here.

You know the old saying, "hey, maybe I could cash in on this".

I know this is what happened, and so do most of you, you're just too scared to talk about it.

Do you know why you are scared to talk about, especially men, for fear of being known as a chauvinist pig, that's why.

It's about time "real men" started standing up for themselves and to stop being pushed around by the women liberation movement.

Enough is enough!

As far back as we have history books, women have always tried to entice men, mostly by sexual advances or wearing revealing clothing.

Short skirts, tight shirts with as much cleavage hanging out to entice the weaker type male.

I would say that most males, at least 99% are drawn to the beauty of a woman.

Hence, the woman knows this and uses it to her advantage.

This is nothing new, it goes all the way back to Bible times.

God spoke about this clearly in the Bible. However, men still fall for the lures of a woman.

It all started with "Eve" in "The Garden of Eden". If Adam had been stronger and said "No", we wouldn't be in this mess today.

Adam was weak back then and men are still weak now.

However, women have always been the seducers, the enticers, the flaunters. It's just the way it is.

Why? Because men love the sexy, seducing women.

"My experience and my confession."

I know, I'm talking from experience. I fell victim to this very thing in 1987. Enticed by my own wife to go help a female friend.

Was I strong enough to resist temptation? Yes, for awhile, then my friend became very seductive and told me she wanted to have sex with me.

At dances, she would be dancing close to me. I'm not going to say I didn't love it, I did. Have you ever heard the saying "Being swept off your feet?"

All of a sudden, I'm caught up in having an affair, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I can honestly say, I had never intended ever having an affair with this woman. However, my wife kept pushing me to fix things for her at her home.

Yes, she was married and had kids.

Then I started having deep feelings for her. I was asked to take her places, for appointments etc.and to pick her up.

This was all orchestrated by my own wife. I really believe she knew what was going to happen.

My wife at the time worked in a daycare, and this other woman told me, that my wife was telling all the women at the daycare about our sex life.

This lady also told me, that all the women were lining up to have a piece of me. I didn't even know this was happening.

Then my wife brought another lady to our house to meet me, and unbeknownst to me, my wife was trying to get this lady to meet me at a club or bar. To ultimately have an affair.

I eventually found out, that my wife was a lesbian and she was hoping to have a threesome. It didn't happen, but this is what she was hoping.

It ended up that my wife and I divorced in 1988.

If I had been strong enough it wouldn't have happened, but I wasn't. I still blame my wife for orchestrating the inevitable love affair.

This is a warning to all men, be careful and don't be lured or enticed.

The choice is yours, but it's a choice you have to live within your conscience.

If you get lured into an affair, Don't do it, run as though the flames of hell are right behind you.

Here is a song that reminds me of my experience, take heed to the words.

However, God warned us all through the Bible, did we pay attention to His warnings? No.

Read about the enticing, luring women of the Bible below.

She is going down the wrong path seeking men to bring down.

1. Proverbs 5:6 For she cares nothing about the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it. So now, my sons, listen to me. Never stray from what I am about to say: Stay away from her! Don’t go near the door of her house!

2. Proverbs 7:24-26 Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.

What does the Bible say?

3. Proverbs 21:19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.

4. Proverbs 27:15-16 A continual dripping on a rainy day and a contentious wife are alike. Trying to keep her in check is like stopping a wind storm or grabbing oil with your right hand.

5. Proverbs 25:24 It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.

6. Proverbs 12:4 A wife with strength of character is the crown of her husband, but the wife who disgraces him is like bone cancer.

7. Proverbs 14:1 A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

8. Proverbs 11:22 A beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.

She has a seductive, persuasive, and evil mouth.

9. Proverbs 5:3-4 For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end she is as bitter as poison, as dangerous as a double-edged sword.

10. Proverbs 2:16 Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

11. Proverbs 22:14 The mouth of an adulterous woman is a deep pit; a man who is under the LORD’s wrath falls into it.

Evil in their hearts

12. Romans 1:26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.

Don’t run after her beauty.

13. Proverbs 6:23-29 For their command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life. It will keep you from the immoral woman, from the smooth tongue of a promiscuous woman. Don’t lust for her beauty. Don’t let her coy glances seduce you. For a prostitute will bring you to poverty,  but sleeping with another man’s wife will cost you your life. Can a man scoop a flame into his lap and not have his clothes catch on fire? Can he walk on hot coals and not blister his feet? So it is with the man who sleeps with another man’s wife. He who embraces her will not go unpunished.

14. Proverbs 5:20 Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman, or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?

15. Proverbs 7:8-12 He was crossing the street near the house of an immoral woman, strolling down the path by her house. It was at twilight, in the evening, as deep darkness fell. The woman approached him, seductively dressed and sly of heart. She was the brash, rebellious type, never content to stay at home. She is often in the streets and markets, soliciting at every corner.

The adulteress.

16. Proverbs 23:27-28 A prostitute is a dangerous trap; a promiscuous woman is as dangerous as falling into a narrow well. She hides and waits like a robber, eager to make more men unfaithful.

17. Proverbs 30:20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, I’ve done nothing wrong.

18. Mark 10:12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.

Gossiping women.

19. 1 Timothy 5:13 And if they are on the list, they will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping from house to house, meddling in other people’s business and talking about things they shouldn’t.

They ruin good morals.

20. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

Famous evil women in Scripture: Delilah, Salome, Potiphar’s Wife, Jezebel, the women of Zion.

21. Judges 16:13-18 Then Delilah said, “You’ve been making fun of me and telling me lies! Now tell me how you can be tied up securely.” Samson replied, “If you were to weave the seven braids of my hair into the fabric on your loom and tighten it with the loom shuttle, I would become as weak as anyone else.” So while he slept, Delilah wove the seven braids of his hair into the fabric. Then she tightened it with the loom shuttle. Again she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!” But Samson woke up, pulled back the loom shuttle, and yanked his hair away from the loom and the fabric. Then Delilah pouted, “How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!” She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it. Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.” Delilah realized he had finally told her the truth, so she sent for the Philistine rulers. “Come back one more time,” she said, “for he has finally told me his secret.” So the Philistine rulers returned with the money in their hands.

22. Mark 6:23-27 He even vowed, “I will give you whatever you ask, up to half my kingdom!” She went out and asked her mother, “What should I ask for?” Her mother told her, “Ask for the head of John the Baptist!” So the girl hurried back to the king and told him, “I want the head of John the Baptist, right now, on a tray!” Then the king deeply regretted what he had said; but because of the vows he had made in front of his guests, he couldn’t refuse her. So he immediately sent an executioner to the prison to cut off John’s head and bring it to him. The soldier beheaded John in the prison.

23. Genesis 39:9-12 No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.” She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as possible. One day, however, no one else was around when he went in to do his work. She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, “Come on, sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house.

24. 1 Kings 21:25 No one else so completely sold himself to what was evil in the Lord’s sight as Ahab did under the influence of his wife Jezebel.

25. Isaiah 3:16-18 The Lord says, “Beautiful Zion is haughty: craning her elegant neck, flirting with her eyes, walking with dainty steps, tinkling her ankle bracelets. So the Lord will send scabs on her head; the Lord will make beautiful Zion bald.” On that day of judgment the Lord will strip away everything that makes her beautiful: ornaments, headbands, crescent necklaces.
