"My home town Gourock" (Song)

"My home town Gourock"
I would get up in the morning could feel the morning chill
The smell of breakfast cooking just gave me a thrill
My mum was such a darling she took good care of me
She loved being in her kitchen as she looked out at the sea

Chorus
I sing about my country it’s where I did abide
I come from Bonnie Scotland down there by the Clyde
The river ran right by my house the beach and the rocks
I’m proud to say that I was raised in my home town called Gourock

After my breakfast I would go down on the dike
I would go for a cycle so I would grab my bike
I would head towards the promenade the sandpit and the pools
I loved the summer holidays didn’t have to go to school

Chorus
I sing about my country it’s where I did abide
I come from Bonnie Scotland down there by the Clyde
The river ran right by my house the beach and the rocks
I’m proud to say that I was raised in my home town called Gourock

What a joy to grow up by the ocean and the sea
I remember Guy Fawkes well I remember Halloween
I had the best of friends and I loved them all and miss
Since moving from my home town I can only reminisce

Chorus
I sing about my country it’s where I did abide
I come from Bonnie Scotland down there by the Clyde
The river ran right by my house the beach and the rocks
I’m proud to say that I was raised in my home town called Gourock

The memories of my home town are always on my mind
The people that I worked with were forever kind
However, I live in Canada two thousand miles apart
I want to let my friends know they are always on my heart

Chorus
I sing about my country it’s where I did abide
I come from Bonnie Scotland down there by the Clyde
The river ran right by my house the beach and the rocks
I’m proud to say that I was raised in my home town called Gourock
I’m proud to say that I was raised in my home town called Gourock

"This is my life in song it’s my, Auto-bi-ography" (Song)

"This is my life in song it’s my, Auto-bi-ography"

Is there anyone out there who wants to hear my song?
Does anybody care, to hear what’s right or wrong?
I would like to share these words which happen to be true
This is my life in song; it’s my, Auto-bi-ography

As I grew up at home many times I was sad
I didn’t have a relationship with the man that I called dad
He would say I was no use with his, verbal abuse
He said, you’ll amount to nothin’ you are no use

The physical pain I’d endure just like a fish caught in a lure
I would scream quite a lot then I would squirm
I would get out of bed this day I will dread
This is my life in song; it’s my, Auto-bi-ography

He would use his hand, sometimes a belt
He’d tan my hide good and sore
I tried to plead my case with an excuse
However, done no good, He carried on
I cried for my mum as he smacked me all the more
However, I was in this room all alone
I had nowhere else to run, I just wanted to have some fun
I now hated my dad all the more

 As I grew up I drank, I smoked, I lied, I cussed
I grew my hair ‘cause I just didn’t care
I did everything that’s wrong ‘cause I didn’t belong
This is my life in song; it’s my Auto-bi-ography

That’s why I write this song it’s with me all day long
I just wanted to have a dad to love
However, he pushed me away, said, come back another day
Guess, I’ll have to find someone else to love

As I would plod through life marriage came along
I had two kids divorce was on the line
Physical and verbal abuse once again
This is my life in song; it’s my, Auto-bi-ography

Suicide was on my mind I miss my kids so much
Went to get some help and tried the church
No-one really cared divorce was not allowed
They’re only interested in their little groups

I got down on my knees, said Lord I need your help
I knelt on the floor as I prayed
As tears rolled down my face, I felt His presence
He put His hand on me that very day

I thought of my dad when I was a child
How he pastored a small church
I couldn’t understand why he treated me this way
He lost all his sons the same way
Yes, he lost all his sons the same way

Sometimes I look to God like I do my dad
If I step out of line he’ll smack me hard
I always try my best; I’m not as good as the rest
This is my life in song; it’s my, Auto-bi-ography
This is my life in song; it’s my, Auto-bi-ography

"Have you ever been in Le Touquet"? (Song)

"Have you ever been in Le Touquet"?

                                                                          (pronounced lay-to-kay)

http://www.informationfrance.com/le-touquet.php

It was back in those good old days I really felt alive
I took a trip to France back in 1975
I landed in Boulogne then I drifted for a while
A city which I found didn’t have any style

It was time to make some tracks I started movin’ on
I found a town on the beach and had a little sun
Loved being by the ocean so I stayed for a while
Quaint town is what I found, exciting lifestyle

Chorus
Have you ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
To soak up the sun
Have you ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
You’ll have a lot of fun

Have you ever been to somewhere and seen the midnight sun
Where the girls look so pretty when they’ve had a little tan
Then I’d go out at night to have a little dance
Just dancing with these girls put me into a trance

They twirled around and danced all night they had a lot of moves
I couldn’t keep it up I was wearing out my shoes
All night I would dance with a cute petite French girl
To watch her dance all night just gave me a thrill

As the evening ended she tried to give a kiss
But then I pulled away I could only reminisce
I told her I was sorry, as I couldn’t stay around
I have a little girlfriend, back in my hometown

Chorus
Have you ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
To soak up the sun
Have you ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
Ever been in Le Touquet?
You’ll have a lot of fun (X2)

"Hobo Jo and the train" (Song)

"Hobo Jo and the train"

My name is Hobo Jo and I’m tryin’ to hitch a ride
It’s cold and it’s dreary with my bindle by my side
I’m just a little Hobo and I’m tryin to make my way
Goin’ here or goin’ there, I jump the train each day

Chorus
Here I am a Hobo here I am a Hobo
Guitar on my shoulder just to sing you a tune
I sing in the rain and I sing in the sun
I have to make some money as I’m always on the run

I’m a Hobo, I’m a runnin’, and I always take the train
It keeps me warm and dry gets me out of the rain
It takes me where I want to go, goin’ east or west
I know I’m headed somewhere just not sure where it is

Chorus
Here I am a Hobo here I am a Hobo
Guitar on my shoulder just to sing you a tune
I sing in the rain and I sing in the sun
I have to make some money as I’m always on the run

I’m penniless but work real hard forever have to roam
I’m always on the go, as I don’t have a home
I go from place to place and I try to settle down
I travel through the country, just goin’ from town to town

Chorus
Here I am a Hobo here I am a Hobo
Guitar on my shoulder just to sing you a tune
I sing in the rain and I sing in the sun
I have to make some money as I’m always on the run

They call me Hobo Jo as I jump from train to train
I want to get to somewhere regardless of terrain
I’m tired and I’m weary as I go from day to day
I cannot face the world no more that’s why I run away

Chorus
Here I am a Hobo here I am a Hobo
Guitar on my shoulder just to sing you a tune
I sing in the rain and I sing in the sun
I have to make some money as I’m always on the run(X2)
